About this Course
Scratch is a powerful, visual programming language that provides a great introduction to the world of programming. By snapping blocks together, you can create amazing animations and games.
Over this four-week course, you'll learn how to navigate the Scratch programming environment, create your own programs, and share your creations. Along the way, you'll learn about the key programming concepts of sequence, repetition, selection, and variables, and how you can best make use of them. You'll also become part of the Scratch community, and remix other people's work.
Instructors
Andy Bush
Andy works at the Raspberry Pi Foundation as a learning manager developing curriculum resources to support educators in delivering computing lessons. He has been a Primary teacher and a Local Authority consultant in two local authorities.
Andy has many years of experience training teachers and working with schools on all aspects of using technology to support learning. He has also worked for an educational resource provider developing electronic products used by schools worldwide.
Matt Hogan
Matt has worked on a variety of projects across the Raspberry Pi Foundation, including Ada Computer Science and online courses.
As a former teacher with over 20 years of experience, he develops content for everyone who wants to inspire young people to learn Computer Science. He is passionate about everything related to EdTech and making educational content accessible for everyone to learn from.
