Ahmed Hassan

Ahmed is Head of Practice of Performance Management at Leoron PDI and APMG-Change Management Practitioner is a management consultant, expert trainer, coach and speaker with 20+ years of management experience across various industries as financial services, manufacturing, retail, logistics and IT. His areas of expertise are Leadership, Strategic Management, Change Management, Communication and Soft Skills, Business Transformation, Process Improvement and Portfolio/Program/Project Management.

Ahmed has extensive experience working with organizations from various sectors in the GCC region. He has delivered training programs and other projects for companies such as : Banque Saudi Fransi, YASREF, NCB, GOSI, T4edu, ZAIN, Almajdouie, TASNEE, BAE Systems SDT, NADEC, SEC.

Over the course of his career, Ahmed has managed projects, programs, portfolios and PMOs worth over 1 Billion USD that varied in size and complexity. He has spent the first ten years of his career in IT strategic and transformational consulting and Project Management, where he has helped subsidiaries of major global organizations implement ERP solutions, develop IT strategy, optimize business processes, improve customer satisfaction through IT enabled solutions, and increasing availability through deploying multi-channel delivery of services. Then he moved into Strategic Project Management where for the last ten years he had held various senior roles within Strategic Planning, Change Management, and Project Management for various large regional organizations. His focus has always been on strategy execution, managing the execution of strategic initiatives and major transformational efforts that improve customer experience, processes and performance improvement and operational excellence while aligning with the overall organization strategy.

As an instructor, Ahmed is registered instructor at the American University in Egypt – Management Center since 2010, and is affiliated with several other training organizations, he has conducted formal and certification courses on Project Management, Change Management, IT enabled Transformation and Strategic Management. In addition to that, he is a regular speaker at global congresses on the topics of integrating strategic management, change management, communication and soft skills, and project/program/portfolio management.

Ahmed has a very strong academic background as he holds MBA in International Business and a BSc in Computer Engineering and holds several professional certifications as PMI®’s Project Management Professional (PMP), APMG Change Management Practitioner and Six Sigma green belt. In addition to that, he was among the first 60 worldwide to attain the Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certification.

Ahmed holds several voluntary leadership roles in Project Management Institute (PMI) where he was the Knowledge Management Lead for PMI® Financial Services Community of Practice and is a founding board member and Vice President of PMI® Egypt Potential Chapter. He is also a member of the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) and an Industry-Faculty Liaison Committee (IFLC) member at the British University in Cairo (BUE).
